Book Review: The Coconut Oil Miracle

Hi Folks,

This post is a guest post by Ashwini Ramaswamy. She wrote to me excited about coconut oil and it’s benefits for skin and hair and I was intrigued. The following is her review of the benefits of the Coconut Oil Miracle.

{I have so far only used it to cook with 🙂

I am a self-confessed product junkie, especially skin products. Growing up with incredibly dry skin in general and living in a dry climate, I’ve always struggled to find products that truly moisturize. Also, as a professional dancer with a frequently touring dance company, I wear lots of makeup that can be very taxing on my skin. Basically, nothing really fit the bill for all my needs – until I discovered THE COCONUT OIL MIRACLE. Up until last month, I was using 3 different moisturizers on my face, 2 different body lotions, and 3 hair products, and I’m sure most women are in the same boat. I started using coconut oil (which I purchased a large tub of for $10 at my local co-op), on my face, body, and hair, and the results have been spectacular!

Beauty aside, coconut oil is also extremely healthy for cooking and can help with weight loss, disease prevention, anti-aging and more! Natural coconut oil is a saturated fat, but not the kind your doctor has warned you about. Studies have shown that this uniquely curative oil actually has innumerable health benefits. THE COCONUT OIL MIRACLE describes the therapeutic properties of coconut oil, and also has a nutrition plan full of dozens of tasty recipes that will allow anyone to experience the healing miracles of coconut oil. When taken as a supplement, used in cooking, or applied to directly to the skin, coconut oil has been found to:

o Promote weight loss

o Help protect against heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and many other degenerative diseases

o Strengthen the immune system

o Improve digestion

o Prevent premature aging of the skin
